Black Currant and Red Currants

I purchased a red currant bush and a 'Big Ben' black currant in 2017 with both cropping for the first time last year. Whilst pruning both bushes on 24th January 2020 I decided to have a go at growing additional bushes from the cuttings. I simply cut the top 8 inches or so of the healthiest cuttings and pushed them straight into a bucket of compost.
